Ljubljana, Slovenia’s capital, has claimed the title of the world’s most crypto-friendly city in Multipolitan’s 2025 Crypto Report. The city outperformed financial hubs like Hong Kong and Zurich, which tied for second place. Multipolitan’s evaluation criteria included regulatory frameworks, tax policies, digital infrastructure, and quality-of-life metrics.
The index assessed 20 cities using data on licensing systems, capital gains taxation, GDP per capita, housing costs, and internet speeds. Crypto ATM density and retail adoption rates further solidified Ljubljana’s leading position. ’This recognition validates Slovenia’s progressive stance on digital assets,’ noted a local blockchain entrepreneur.
